29:8 The Lord was angry at Judah and Jerusalem and made them an appalling object of horror at which people hiss out their scorn, ¹  as you can see with your own eyes.

30:7 Don’t be like your fathers and brothers who were unfaithful to the Lord God of their ancestors, ²  provoking him to destroy them, ³  as you can see.

32:31 So when the envoys arrived from the Babylonian officials to visit him and inquire about the sign that occurred in the land, ⁴  God left him alone to test him, in order to know his true motives. ⁵
